It's hard to believe that this will be our final full week on our Unit of Inquiry, How We Organize ourselves. It's great to hear the students using our three key, form, function, and connection, concepts throughout the day. It shows that we have such transdisciplinary learners. In math, they ask, "What is the function of the addition and subtraction sign?" and "What is the connection between addition and subtraction?"
It's also thrilling to see all the action happening at home. Many of the students have written and illustrated books at home, and shared them with their classes.
Mrs. Jeffery's class welcomed Li Lao Shi this week. She is our newest Mandarin teacher from Beijing, China. She has only been with us for four days, and the students already love her. Mrs. Fairman's, Mrs. Meaker's, and Mrs. Wightman's class will continue to have Mandarin with Xin Lao Shi.
